When England football legend David Seaman joined me at the Arrow Meadow Fisheries Estate Lake, his passion was clear – he didn’t just come to fulfil an obligation – he came for the joy of fishing! It was a truly magnificent experience.
The occasion was the Angling Trust’s grand Fishing Prize Draw. When the lucky winner received his email from the trust, he felt a rush of excitement. As a lifelong fan of Arsenal and an angling enthusiast, the chance to spend 24 hours fishing alongside David Seaman at our estate was a dream come true.

An 18-Pounder Triumph
Taking up the gauntlet, Danny pulled up an enviable 18-pounder, marking the onset of a great fishing day. Admittedly, the elements of anxiety and BPD can make life seem overwhelming, but in the tranquillity of nature, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, one finds a sense of solace and balance. With your rods in the water and surrounded by the embrace of the woods, you can sit back, relax, and reset.

Another Catch!
Our lucky angler concluded this stunning 24-hour session saying, “I could go home now happy. I have spent some time with David, heard some fantastic stories, and even got a catch.” All in all, despite the unexpected rain pouring down the next morning, the spirit of fishing kept everyone’s spirits high.
What better way to end the session than with another catch! Like the triumphant warrior, David reeled in another beauty, winning the friendly competition 2-1. As they say, fishing isn’t just about the catch; it’s about the camaraderie shared and the memories made. And it’s all the more rewarding when you are a part of the warm and passionate community at Arrow Meadow Fisheries.
